GOODNIGHT KISS is set in "tiny Wayfield, Wyoming" at Christmastime. Ranee' S. Clark let me know everything I needed to set the stage...all within the first 2 pages: who Clare and Chase are, their past, how he feels about her now, it's Christmastime, how long it's been, and references to MTC and 'my mission' clued me in that this inspirational, sweet romance is about LDS (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) characters. When I picked up the novella, I didn't make note of 'mission' in the book description, but it's certainly there.The story is sweet, clean, innocent, and brings to life one of my favorite themes in romance: second chances. I enjoyed watching Chase and Clare reconnect, realize what they'd developed throughout their youth and young adulthood had been real and worth exploring. The couple had waited so very long for their first kiss, it was so rewarding to finally see that sweet, precious first. The whole short (about 25 pages) covers just a day or two, and leaves the reader with a sense of hope and optimism, possibilities and probabilities--certainly a realistic ending.

This book is short and sweet and perfect for a quick read on a cold winter night at home. There's enough description to fully imagine the characters, but the story moves at a pace that keeps the reader interested.
A cute little love story about a couple's second chance at love. The author gives you both the boy's side of the story as well as the girl's which makes for a very interesting read.
Super short. Crazy fast paced, sweet, and completely cliche of the LDS culture. I was surprised he didn't just pull out a ring and propose right there! Hahaha!

Such a sweet cute read. Chase and Clare are a cute couple. Time may have passed but maybe it was meant to happen like this way.
This is very short but a cute read about rekindling an old flame. The old feelings reignite very quickly, but with a novella you don’t have a lot of time for things to unfold.
I love a darling lost-love romance. Chase feels that he missed out by not taking things to the next level with Clare before his LDS mission. Clare feels that any relationship potential with Chase is long in the past. A chance meeting during a short visit home for Christmas could possibly change all the regrets, but fate doesn't seem to be helping them out.
This is a short, sweet romance that is perfect for the holidays and left me wanting more.
